Intergenerational Discounting has been a topic of debate among economists and philosophers for decades. Essentially, the idea is that "people are more motivated by immediate private rewards than by long-term, collective future benefits." I believe that to be true, particularly concerning man's role in habitat destruction, climate change, and species extinction.

Unfortunately, we are not alone. We share the results of those motivations with all creatures great and small. Climate change, habitat loss, and species extinction are only a few of the results of intergenerational discounting.

As a landscape architect, I worked for decades to create sustainable designs that preserve and protect sensitive ecosystems on a local scale. As an artist and photographer, I am driven to explore our work and capture images for us and future generations.
I hope you enjoy what you see here.
